| | General Purpose Boundary Element Software Technology (GPBEST) is a complete boundary
element engineering analysis system. Using GPBEST gives the engineer several outstanding
productivity gains when compared with traditional finite element analysis. The GPBEST
model only requires a mesh on the surface of the region, which is a significant advantage.
Thus, the boundary element model is much simpler, allowing the engineer to begin the
analysis and results-viewing phases much more quickly. The interior mesh is not needed for
analysis but for 2-D problems is automatically generated for post-processing purposes.
